Our Residential Village has a FOUR-STAR rating

⭐⭐⭐⭐

Our village is a warm and welcoming community where every need is cared for. We offer a safe and nurturing environment, with activities that foster social connections and celebrate individual interests. Quality care is at the heart of everything we do.

We provide the peace of mind of having a Registered Nurse on duty 24/7, supported by a dedicated care team.

Respite Care and Permanent Care

At St Simeon, we are committed to providing exceptional care at an affordable cost. Understanding the financial aspects of care is crucial, and we are here to help you navigate the fees and available subsidies. Our services are supported by government programs designed to ease the financial burden on families.

Fees, Charges & Government Subsidies

We encourage you to speak with our friendly staff to better understand how these fees and subsidies may apply to your situation. Our goal is to ensure you receive the highest quality care while maximising the benefits available to you.

There are four different costs involved with residential aged care that are important for you to understand.

1 Basic Daily Fee

The Basic Daily Fee is paid by all residents and contributes towards your care and living expenses, like meals, laundry, cleaning and electricity. The Australian Government sets this at 85% of the single aged care pension.

2 Means Tested Care Fee (MTCF)

Depending on your income and assets, Services Australia may determine you need to pay a Means Tested Fee. This is an additional contribution to the cost of care. It is not a fixed cost and is adjusted in line with changes to your assets and income or cost of care.

3 Accommodation Payment

There are three levels of residential aged care government support: fully supported, partially supported and non-supported. The level you receive is determined by Services Australia based on your assets. If you are partially supported or non-supported, you will need to pay an accommodation fee, in part or in full. You can make this payment as a refundable accommodation deposit (RAD), a daily accommodation payment (DAP) or as a combination of both.

4 Additional Services

St Simeon provides a comprehensive range of services beyond the essential government care requirements, which are available for an additional fee. These services encompass lunch and dinner options, access to various dining venues, smart TVs, hairdressing, outings and so much more.
